TEND THE BAR. HIT THE MARK.
A regular sits down, names a drink and a number.
Pour to the line.
Short and they frown. Over and it’s a MISS — and a MISS costs a heart. Land it dead on the mark and the tip is worth double.
Fifteen days behind the bar. Every morning posts a quota, and you earn it by closing time or the contract gets torn up. Three hearts. A serve clock that never stops. The taps change daily, so arm the wrong one and it grades MISS no matter how clean the pour was.
Tips buy cards. Stack multipliers, buy a heart back, bend a rule in your favour. Cards are run-scoped and slots are limited — what you build is what you are, and you rebuild it every run.
Eight of them, and each takes a whole day. The Inspector shows the target for a second and a half, then takes it away. The Sommelier frosts the glass. Ms. Rush comes at you fast. Finish the day standing and take a reward card off them.
